WHEN GOD SENDS YOU TO A DRY LAND

WHEN GOD SENDS YOU TO A DRY LAND

Life is for a purpose and God is the determiner of the purpose. Our purpose is only geographical; however, there are times that it appears that such places appear dry. What do we do? Is there any hope for survival? The answer to this questions is the trust of this article.

God created each and everyone us for a purpose and our purposes on the earth has geography – that is the right location for its manifestation. However, there are times it appears scary to go to such places either for fear of lack of our basic needs of life or death. There are also times such places appear so dry that we don’t can’t see how prosperity can be a possibility in such places.

Whatever the case may be, obedience to God demands that we identify where we are supposed to be and be there despite its apparent dryness. As a matter of fact, God is in charge of our lives and is the landlord of the whole earth. He owns every wealth that exists on the earth, but allowed it into the hands of those with them right now. He can make an arrangement for our supplies to any part of the world, no matter how dry it is.

How do I know? Please open your Bible to 1King chapter 17. I am reading from verse 2 to 4.  “Then the LORD said to Elijah, ‘Leave this place and go east and hide yourself near Cherith Brook, east of the Jordan.  The brook will supply you with water to drink, and I have commanded ravens to bring you food there.’”

The starting point in positioning yourself for divine supplies is moving according to the word of God. Whose is moving you? The words of fear of tomorrow? Desire for wealth? Pressure from society? None of these should move you! If they move you, they are very likely to move you away from the place of God’s supply to you. Elijah, our study subject was moved by God’s word. It was not fear that moved him. It was faith in God and His words that moved him. So, before you ‘leave this and go…’ be sure you are moved by God and His words. Be sure it’s in response to the word of God and not fear. Make sure you know where He wants you to go from where you are.[Tweet “We don’t get supplies for our needs by locating ourselves in the places of apparent prosperity, but where God has commanded us to be.”]

Also, there are things in the place He is sending you that he has put in place to ensure that your supply is sure. In Elijah’s case, there was a stream from where he will get his water. That is why you and have to pay attention to hear God pointing us to every source of our supplies.

We don’t get supplies for our needs by locating ourselves in the places of apparent prosperity, but where God has commanded us to be. You know why? Wherever he commands us to be, He has given orders for all that needs to participate in bringing you supplies. When God sends to you to a place that seems dry, He is not sending you there to suffer; He has taken care of every logistic that is required to ensure that your supplies are sure.

What is God telling us today? Wherever He sends us, we have to go, how dry the place is not withstanding. The reason is that wherever He sends us, he makes every arrangement necessary to ensure that our supplies are sure.
