WHEN THEY LOOK DOWN ON YOU
In life, you will encounter people who will look down on you either because of your background, level of wealth, ‘rawness’ of your talents, a mishap or even over familiarity.
People like that have been in existence as old as the time of biblical David and they haven’t gone into extinction.
There is a possibility that you will be tempted to lose confidence in your abilities, talents and life and give up in the pursuit of your our great destiny, especially when these down lookers are influential people in your life.
But I beg you: don’t fall for the temptation!
David’s brother and King Saul looked down on him when he came to tackle Goliath. “You are but a child” King Saul cautioned him.
Joseph’s brothers looked down on him, hates him with perfect hatred and plotted to kill him or at least frustrate what God has destined to make him.
Jesus’ town people despised his anointing to heal them “Is this not the Carpenter’s son” they mocked.
However, despite disdain from influential people in their lives, they pressed on until their world couldn’t deny the star in them.
Just in case you don’t know: anybody looking down on you is not a proof that you are not good. It doesn’t also mean you can’t fly higher in life. It’s simply a reflection of their myopic view to life. Period!
When people look down on you, look away from them and look unto God and the greatness He has loaded in you until those looking down on you can’t help but look up to you.
My dear, resolve to succeed so much that they can’t help but lie, “We have always known that you will make it”.
My point? When people look down on you, look away from them and look unto God and the greatness He has loaded in you until those looking down on you can’t help but look up to you.
As you step today, may you step into God will for your life.
