ACQUIRING WEALTH
Every human being needs money and there is hardly any youth that doesn’t desire it in great measure. In this post, I want to shares thoughts on acquiring wealth; the true foundation for wealth and errors to avoid in the quest for wealth.
Wealth is an important thing in life. I believe it’s God’s will that you and I become not just rich but have enough wealth so that we can easily assist others around us. Wealth is neither for show off nor is it an empowerment to insult anybody and get away with it. It’s a tool for service to God through humans.
Believe me, it’s our responsibility to take steps in the process of wealth acquisition; not really God’s. How do I know? In Deuteronomy 8:18, the Bible says, “But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.” His empowerment can be likened to engineering your life to begin to get wealth. Like car engine, His empowerment is not visible to people but is the soul of your wealth creation.
The foundation for lasting wealth is empowerment by God to acquire wealth. It’s not getting fine business model; neither is it by creating powerful product/services. Those are important but the most important in ensuring that God has turned on the machinery to give you wealth. The manifestation of God’s empowerment for blessing in your life is that whatsoever you do you shall prosper.
So, if you have accepted that being wealthy is not sin or worldliness and pledged to God to use your wealth in godly fashion, then look up to God for the empowerment for wealth.
He actually is an engineer of wealth. He turns it to wherever He wishes. Have you forgotten that one of those he made wealthy, David, testified, “God own the earth and the fullness thereof”

But we don’t wake up to do anything. We are created for specific assignments. We are created to fulfill different purposes. When we set out on the path of doing what God wants us to do. We will prosper not because of that kind of career or business is really successful but because God has engineering wealth in your direction. Please be careful to ensure you don’t leave what God created you for in pursuit of wealth. I have heard and read stories of people who left God created them for in pursuit of wealth; yet it eluded them. In fact, if it eludes you, you are most likely to go back to your true assignment. Don’t settle there no matter how much wealth you acquire on the wrong path.
One more thing you need to understand is that wealth is weighty and can make and untrained mind go mental. So, God takes time to train you and I to be able to have plenty and not lose our mind. That’s why you and I should hasten the time of manifestation of our wealth by proving we have really developed and grown.
We prove this by the way we use the little money He has given us today. He is just watching you. What you spend your money on gives Him an idea of what you will do with plenty. Don’t post pone the day of the manifestation of wealth by abusing the little He gives you today.
Settle down and learn the way of utilizing God’s resources to you. Be responsible in the way you use money. Don’t spend your money anyhow; find our how God want you to spend your money. Spend it on what He would love to if He could wear human clothes. Once you have secured the empowerment and qualify for the release of wealth, you get down to work. Do something. Put your hands to work. Whatever you hand finds to do, do it. Do your business diligently and treat your customer as you treat yourself. Don’t cheat anybody.

This reminds me. You know we have many quantities in our country who believe that the way of acquisition of wealth is stealing public funds or diverting employer’s resources. You and I must not follow them. God rewards such act with punishment; if not today then in the future. In fact even on earth, we have some of them get punished. James Ibori is now enjoying his stolen wealth in a prison in the UK. He may have repented but the disgrace and shame may live with him and his family. Alison Maduke risks being jailed for allegedly acquiring wealth illegally. Unless they and people like them change their ways, they are not worth emulating.
God is the true source of wealth; not your background, your job, your boss or nation. Once He gives you the power to make wealth, it will start chasing you. Wait on God for His wealth. Don’t fall for the way that seems right but ends in pains.
Let me repeat what I said the other day. I will like to be strikingly rich. So rich every year my wife and I will give out at least 24 Million Naira to people not related to us. But if the way of acquiring wealth is by cheating, lying and stealing, may remain poor forever!
God is the true source of wealth; not your background, your job, your boss or nation. Once He gives you the power to make wealth, it will start chasing you. Wait on God for His wealth. Don’t fall for the way that seems right but ends in pains.
Be careful to ensure you don’t fall for temptations to use short cut to make money. The temptation will come. But there is something I learnt from Pastor Bankie. He said that there is nothing Satan can give you that God has not planned to give it you. Satan makes the offer to lure you from getting what God has packaged for you.
