WHEN YOUR BOSS/PARTNER CHEATS YOU

WHEN YOUR BOSS/PARTNER CHEATS YOU

We sometimes come in contact with people who engage us to work or call for partnership and when it’s time for payment of profit-sharing, stories skillfully crafted to cheat us comes up. This hurts really badly; especially because it thwarts our plans for the money we were expecting. It can be so painful and frustrating. I have been in that situation; so, I know how it pains. But, there is a proper procedure for going about very activity under the sun. This week on Career Insight, I want to share with you insight for handling the situation where your boss/partner cheats you.

When you serve your boss with all your might and mind and he choose to cheat you, God will give you unusual wisdom for wealth and success.  Many times bosses or partners cheat so as to get more money or wealth than they deserve. But that’s not the way of wealth. I still believe that wealth given by God; not man’s struggle and skill. He may ride on those things to deliver wealth but they cannot in themselves make any man wealthy.

God who is the author of wealth will cause it to flow towards you despite the cheats and their cheating. How do I know? When Jethro cheated Jacob again and again, God orchestrated wealth for him and made him so wealthy that it was reported, “So Jacob’s wealth was greatly increased; he had great flocks and women-servants and men-servants and camels and asses.” (Gen 30:43)

I maintain, God is the true rewarder and he pays you for your good and whole-hearted work to your boss, even when he chooses to cheat you. I choose not to suggest how he is going to do it because that will amount to putting God in a box. He is not just All-Mighty but also All Strategic. He is not limited by how financially helpless your cheat has rendered you. He can initiate your wealth and nobody can stop him.

I choose not to tell my personal stories here because of those who are involved. But I can say with certainly, cheats can deny you the money you expect them to pay you but can’t deny you the wealth God has earmarked for you. They can’t! God uses diverse channels to arrange your full payment!

When you serve your boss with all your might and mind and he choose to cheat you, God will give you unusual wisdom for wealth and success.

It’s not your job to revenge your boss/partner who has cheated you. If God choose to, He will pay him back in due season and in appropriate measure.

But if you are a Christian, I implore you to ask God for mercy on their behalf. They need it more than anything now. If God doesn’t show them mercy, they will most certainly get the just recompose of reward for their action. It’s not easy! Do everything you can do to calm down your emotions so that your scriptural sense will be able to see that the cheats, in reality, does not know what he is doing; though he foolishly thinks he is smart.

The pains and frustration resulting from being cheated can be so much that you feel like raining curses on him and entreating God to visit them with judgment but if we chose to be true Christians, I don’t really think it’s the  best you should do.

In life, our actions are seeds and they grow in the sand of time to yield fruits for us in the future. A boss that cheats his employee is sowing the seed of failure which will manifest at God’s verdict. As a matter of fact, you need to pray for God’s mercy on his behalf. That’s a better way of handling his disappointment.

Don’t forget that when Jesus Christ was being crucified, he has to deliberately pray for the forgiveness of those crucifying him. The same thing applies to Stephen when he was persecuted. They had to do it for the life and survival of those people; otherwise, death will be their portion.

I don’t believe it’s trust not to define the terms of your work with people, including your bishop or General Oversea. God in entering a contract with Abraham define the terms, “Walk before and be perfect and I will…” and someone wants be to believe that defining terms of work with people is lack of trust. Don’t believe that lie! It’s the cheat’s widow for doing what he actually wants to do. In fact, if your contract is based on assumptions, you can’t really say you are cheated. You just have unfulfilled expectations.

A Christian lifestyle in not pray for the destruction of those who do evil to you; in fact, the best practice is to pray that God forestall his judgment and arrange an opportunity for their repentance.

As I round off, I like you to please learn vital lessons associated with the cheat. It’s possible your being cheated is a fault of yours. Maybe you did not clearly define the terms of your contract; so the cheat cashed in on it to cheat you. Learn to define the terms of your work; even if it’s your father.

See, I don’t believe it’s trust not to define the terms of your work with people, including your bishop or General Oversea. While talking about business partnership,  of the CEO of Neo Media and Marketing, Ehi Braimah “There should be water-tight agreement documented when doing business with people because ones money starts coming in, character and language begin to change, unless there is something to check them. And that is the agreement duly signed by all parties. We can also add the element of God’s assistance without which, many things would go wrong.”

[Tweet “If you are cheated, don’t think it’s the end for you. Know that God is the author of blessings in life and look up to him for your blessings.”]

One other thing I think you should learn is that that one who cheated you maybe a cheat. Treat him as one or at least be careful in your dealings with him so that you won’t go complaining that you have been cheated again. Even if not him, be careful with people who exhibit his attributes so that they don’t cheat you again.

My point? The fact that you are not a cheat doesn’t mean you won’t encounter cheats. So, be careful; but don’t be so careful you look at everybody with suspicion. If you are cheated, don’t think it’s the end for you. Know that God is the author of blessings in life and look up to him for your blessings. Please don’t revenge or pray for the punishment of your cheat. He doesn’t know what he is doing. He foolishly thinks he is smart! Learn the crucial lesson that the cheating experience has to offer you; it may be God’s instrument for preparing you for the multibillion contracts you will enter in future.
