MAXIMIZING THE SEED-FRUIT PRINCIPLE

MAXIMIZING THE SEED-FRUIT PRINCIPLE

From the beginning, God made his creation to be sustained through fruitfulness – when the Seed-Fruit Principle is obeyed.

Seed-Fruit Principle states that whatever seed you plant germinates into the fruits of its kind. This does not apply only in agriculture but even in real life.

Teaching on this principle, Apostle Paul said, “God is not mocked. Do not deceive yourselves; no one makes a fool of God. You will reap exactly what you plant. (Gal 6:7).

My desire in this PostXtra is to share with you my understanding of this principle and how you and I can maximise it in our day to day life.

It’s actually longer than normal post, over 2,500 words.

UNDERSTANDING THE SEED-FRUIT PRINCIPLE

At creation, God empowered His creation to bear fruit and multiply so much that they dominate the earth. To achieve this, he installed the seed for everything he wants reproduced on the earth in them to start reproducing and multiplying.

This truth can be easily seen in plants, animals and even man. I mean, the increase in your family and the fact that vegetables and chickens have never finished despite how much they are consumed is a testimony to the authenticity of the seed-fruit principle.

However, this is not restricted in the increase and multiplication of God’s creation but also in the increase and multiplication of our businesses, career and works. In fact, what we eventually become at the end of our days on the earth is largely influenced by this Principle.

How do I know?

“I, Jehovah, search the mind, I try the heart, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings” (Jer 17:10 ).

The seed for who we eventually become is our action in secret and in public.

Ruben was built to become very great but because he sowed the seed of defiling his father’s bed, he was cursed and so he could not come close what he was destined to become (Gen 49).

Ruth sowed love, care and compassion for her mother in law who would have gone back to her home country alone with nearly no one to take care of her and she reaped a good husband (Ruth 1:16).

It’s also important we understand that many times, seeds don’t look like its fruits. So, don’t be deceived into thinking that the right seeds you are sowing will not bear the fruit loaded in the seed. Don’t also be fooled into thinking that any evil seed you plant will not materialize into fruits.

A seed when plated never grows to bear another fruit. It grows to bear fruits which contain numerous seeds. So whatever you are sowing today, know that you will have them back multiplied in great measure, weather good or bad!

For a seed to manifest, it takes time – which varies depending on the seed. That’s why we must not be deceived into thinking that the good seeds we are planting will not yield fruit because it is still at the phase of maturation or that we are free of the fruit of evil seeds we sowed because it has not fully matured.

Some seeds are similar in their appearance but not the same in the nature. So, don’t mistake one for another and sow your seed wrongly. If you do it’s the seed you planted that you must reap not the one you intended.

PRACTICAL IMPLICATION OF SEED-FRUIT PRINCIPLE

Having understood the reality and the truth in the Seed-Fruit Principle, it’s crucial that you and I bear in mind that our life and destiny is highly influenced by the operation of this principle.

So, as you go about your business, bear in mind that you are sowing a seed by your daily action. Please don’t sow the seed that will ruin your business and your life!

It also means that in my interaction with my parents, I must not sow the seed of short life by disobeying them especially when their instruction does not contradict the word of God. Otherwise, premature death will be reaped (Eph 6: 2-3).

It means that as we go about our personal and business lives we must not cheat otherwise we will be sowing the seed for God’s hatred (Prov. 20:23).

It means that as a politician you must not kill or facilitate the killing of anybody otherwise you will eventually get killed because the one that kills by sword also dies by sword(Matt 26:52).

It means that I should be free to give to whoever God wants me to knowing full well that He is the provider and will even provide more.

It means that I must not walk in the counsel of the ungodly because the one who despise their counsel and please God is guaranteed of God’s blessing (Psa 1).

BROJID.COM. SEEDS

In general, you and I must be careful to ensure that we are not erroneously sowing the seed that will ruin our lives and we should identify the right seeds and sow them.

SOWING SEEDS FOR GOD’S BLESSING

Many people believe that they can activate God’s blessing or make Him do for them what he would not have, by giving material possessions which they call seed. I used to believe this because on the surface it makes sense but as I have come to understand that it’s a misapplication the Seed-Fruit Principle.

It’s an Insult to God

It’s an insult to God to think you can pay him to get his blessing; you don’t have what it takes to get any of his blessing; including the blessing of being able of to swallow food or urinate. So, stop thinking you can pay him to get his blessing. What did you pay to be alive or have all the metabolic pathways in your body to work without interfering with each other?

It’s an insult on his love for you, as His child, to think that God needs your material to bless you as if you or your parents paid to have you born or stay alive. He is not human like you and I who needs pay before service.

Please Understand what it Means to Give

By the way, I like you to know that giving is usually an expression of your state of heart which God Judges and rewards rightly. The material gifts are not judged on its surface value; it’s judged on the state-of-your-heart value.

Have you forgotten that He said, I, Jehovah, search the mind, I try the heart….”

That is why giving to church; men of God or the needy with the motivation of getting is an expression of selfishness! God doesn’t reward you with your desire; he gives you the reward of selfishness.

True Christians don’t give to charity, church or ministers to tap anything or provoke God. They give because of what the receiver will get. They give to indigent student not for the publicity of being a philanthropist but so that the student will go to school. They give to their pastors not to tap anything but as an honour to him as a man of God. True givers give girls who they are not even contemplating proposing to. True givers give to you and don’t look to you for any blessing or remembrance in future.

Give for what the receiver will get and God will bless you. That’s how true givers give. That’s how God, our father gives. He gave us His only so not so that he will get but so that we will get eternal life. Yet we want to give only because of what we are going to get.

Who Is A True Giver?

He is one who gives as God would give.

How does God give? In John 3:16, the Bible says that God gave His only son (not because of what He will get but) so that whoever believes in him will not perish but get eternal life.

Get this clear, Peter didn’t give his boat for what he was going to get. He gave it out because a guy (I mean Jesus) has a need for it. The Childless woman who built a lodge for the man of God didn’t do it to activate the promise of child-bearing. She didn’t it because she realised that it will be useful to the man of God.  What they got was a natural consequence of true giving.

Many Christians today are not true givers. They give as an expression of their greed. They give because of their selfish desires. They don’t give primarily for what the receiver will get but what they will get.

Brethren, if you still give for primarily for what you will get, you are not a bad person. Just that you have imbibed selfishness. Repent today and choose the path of selfless giving which God our father and Jesus Christ our savior has modeled for us.

Misinterpreted Testimonies

Don’t be deceived by testimonies of people who say they gave material and God gave them back. God doesn’t do such joke! They were blessed but they lacked the understanding of how God arranged their blessing.

They are like King Nebuchadnezzar who was make King by God but because he lacked correct understanding of what God did, he gave wrong interpretation.

When they gave their last card to the needy, or to support kingdom work, what they must given was faith in God’s abundant supply who says ‘take no thought for the morrow’ (Matt 6:31).

The seed for God’s blessing is obedience to his word; not your material possession. Even though he made us in his image, he is not moved by everything that moves us. That’s why he won’t start jumping up when you give him plenty money. Is he not the One that created it? No amount of money or what many people call seed that you give can make God give you a blessing he doesn’t want or at the time he has not purposed to.

The widow of Zaraphet gave faith to God when she gave her last mean to a man who came saying he is a man of God. It’s important you note that she is a good woman had started going to get the water Elijah asked for before being requested to get food.

Believe me; you don’t have enough to give God to activate his blessing.

What do you have sef?

If you desire God’s blessing or answer to prayer, let’s understand how God blesses people or answer prayers.

HOW GOD BLESSES PEOPLE

The seed for God’s blessing is obedience to his word; not your material possession. Even though he made us in his image, he is not moved by everything that moves us. That’s why he won’t start jumping up when you give him plenty money. Is he not the One that created it? No amount of money or what many people call seed that you give can make God give you a blessing he doesn’t want or at the time he has not purposed to.

God blesses people who qualify for his blessings not those who think they have enough money to buy it. a case in point is the Israelite who were blessed because of their obedience to God. A king, Balak, with money to pay prophet Balaam could not even successful place a curse on them. But as soon as they disqualified for his blessing, God withdrew his blessing and the natural consequences became glaring. (Number 23)

God’s blessing come on those who jettison the advice of sinner and delight in obeying him.

How do I know?

“Happy (blessed) are those who reject the advice of evil people, who do not follow the example of sinners or join those who have no use for God. Instead, they find joy in obeying the Law of the LORD, and they study it day and night” (Psa. 1:1-2).

He called Abraham and told him to work before him, be prefect and be blessed and Abraham obeyed. Abraham obeyed Him and reaped the blessing of being father of many nations.

His blessing for financial abundance will come to you if you locate yourself in the right career and at the geographical location he has designated for you with the commitment he demands from you.

Joseph didn’t sow a dime to become King in Egypt; he simply exercised his gift whenever it’s needed obeyed his way to the throne.

Daniel didn’t sow a dime to distinguish himself in his work place as one of the ministers of Federal Republic of Babylon. He simply obeyed God and did what he should as a student and as an employee and he was elevated to the envy of his colleague.

“God made the four young men smart and wise. They read a lot of books and became well educated. Daniel could also tell the meaning of dreams and visions.” (Dan 1:17 )

“Daniel soon showed that he could do better work than the other supervisors or the governors. Because he was so outstanding, the king considered putting him in charge of the whole empire. (Dan 6:3 )”

God bless those who obey the principles he has set for life; not those who try to bride him with ‘seed’.

THE SEED THAT ACTIVATE GOD’S BLESSING

The seed that activates God blessing are gifts given out of love; not motivated by greed or selfishness. They are motivated purely by the love for the receiver.

You know why?

Jesus said, if you give, it shall be given to you. It doesn’t take magic to happen. It happens naturally. That’s the default setting of life.

You can even see it that those who give us smart phone get money and the world has been giving to the guy that gave us windows and Microsoft so much that he is ranked among the richest men in the world.

So, one of the fundamental things you have to do to be able to practice the giving that activates fruits is to pray to God and do your best to deaden selfishness in you and beg God to install the application that produces true love for his work and your neighbour so that like Job, you will offer to help people who can’t help you and give for the promotion of the Kingdom of God with no string attached and then rreap the fruit of a true giver.

“For I was a saviour to the poor when he was crying for help, to the child with no father, and to him who had no supporter. The blessing of him who was near to destruction came on me, and I put a song of joy into the widow’s heart (Job 29:12-13).

Once you come to that state of heart where you can give for the love for the receiver, you will most certainly get. God knows when and how best to give you back. You can be sure he won’t owe you!

Note that he doesn’t need you to give to get. If you want to get, simply ask God in His name. However, whenever you give, you will get in return.

What is the Point I have made today?

God designed life to operate on the principle of seed and fruit. Whatever seed you are plating today will most certainly materialise into fruits which is usually bigger and more numerous than the seed you planted. Please be careful to ensure you don’t plant the seed you don’t want to reap it’s fruit. When you identify the seed for the fruits you desire, plant it and continue to nurture it until it manifest into full fruits. Don’t give up because to experience a harvest, there need to be a seed well planted, nurtured and waited for the time for its maturation.

Sincerely
