MAXIMISING YOUR DAYS AS A YOUTH
Let me share some thoughts with you on maximizing your phase as a youth and preparing for a great future.
The youth is the foundational phase of life. You lay the foundation for whatever you will become in the future today. If you fail to lay the right foundation, you will build your future on a faulty foundation. Guess what? You will come crashing. But that’s not your portion!
Youths who build their lives on the wrong values systems, principles and lifestyle will come crashing with time. You can see this in those who refuse to bridle their desire for sex, love for money and materialistic quest. They may rise but come crashing; when they should be celebrating. That’s why you and I must not build our lives on the wrong foundation.
Your life cannot amount to anything if you have only a foundation with our structures on the foundation. That’s why you must go beyond laying foundation to building structure on that well laid foundation. Locate your purpose; define a career path to fulfill it and purse it with vigor. On your way, you will meet obstacles that will try to push you down. Resist it. Don’t give up on life. Pursue your purpose with every vigor and energy you have. Refuse to give up no matter what!

You can’t really build that structure without being empowered and equipped to do so. You need to be empowered to do your work. You need mental, skill, spiritual and social empowerment to get to that great place you are destined for. Pursue it with everything you have got. Use your time, your money, energy, connection to become empowered.
Being empowered alone is not enough. Your empowerment is more like tools for where you are headed. You need an engine to power your life against all odds. That engine is God Almighty. Without him; the forces and principalities of life will pull you down. With Him, he will make your effort produce great results. Get God and don’t trade Him for anything or anybody.
Failures may come. Temptation will come from men and women. Discouragement will also come your way. But don’t give up. Stand strong. You have a great future ahead of you.
God has deposited something in you. You have, at least, a talent that my children and your children will need. Don’t allow anything stop you from doing everything God has created you to be. I need what you carry. I promise to release what He also deposited on me. I want to see you successful; so that when we meet tomorrow, we will not be ashamed to meet ourselves.
