God has all the power and resources to bless His people and make them live the best of life. Unfortunately, many of them not only lack His resources but get destroyed by what destroys others. Brojid.com Editor, Joseph Dinwoke has a chat with Pastor Udu Okiemute of FindTruths.com, where he explains why God’s people suffer what they should not and how you can take delivery of God’s package for you in every area of your life.

Thanks for joining me on Brojid.com Scriptural People. Let’s get to know you.

My name is Pastor Udu Okiemute, I pastor here in Enugu and at present, I assist Pastor Bankie of Kingdom Word Ministries.

We learnt you are hosting a programme tagged, Word Feast. What is it all about?

Because of the programme I do on radio, Word Vs World on Dream 92.5FM. Off air we get a lot of calls with respect to issues that people go through.

This will be opportunity to talk to people about God. From my experience doing the programme, I found that people have issues which can be sorted out with knowledge. I also found that a lot of Christians are ignorant. When I say Ignorant, I mean, real ignorant.

Going to church does not mean anything if the knowledge of Christ is not  in you, you will suffer like the people of the world suffer. God will not pity you because you go to church; He will answer you because you know Him.

A lot of people go to church, either because they were born in church or they feel  it’s a sign of acceptance to go to church instead of somewhere else.  But  going to church does not mean anything if the knowledge of Christ is not  in you, you will suffer like the people of the world suffer. God will not pity you because you go to church; He will answer you because you know Him.

In Isaiah 4, God said, my people are destroyed because they lack knowledge. I cannot help them until they have knowledge. Still in Isaiah 4 God said, because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you.

So, knowledge is very crucial.

When we say, Word Feast, we are saying come and feast on the word of God.

We are fed with so many junks out there and people believe it. But the things that God said we should do as Christians, we are not even aware of those things. But what the world tells us to do; we do, hoping that we will get result. Unfortunately, we don’t get result from those things. They tell us to eat carrot and exercise as a cure for cancer but it doesn’t work for you as a Christian.  I am not saying that eating carrot is bad but there are principles of God that when you obey, you live long. For example, the Bible says Honour your father and mother so that it will be well with you and you will live long.  That principle alone guarantees long life. It also guarantees good health.

What we want to give everybody that will be there on that day is to teach them the word of God. People must know God. Jeremiah 3: 15, says, “I will give you pastors after my heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.” That’s the responsibility of a pastor. What you know can heal you; what you know can turn around your business, family, academics and very area of your life.

We are likely to have another edition of Word Feast, about three more this year. It comes up every quarter. We will just continue to feed on the gospel because you are what you feed on.

How many people will be serving the table on Word Feast? Who are the speakers?

I am the host. Pastor Bankie will be speaking and Pastor Cosmos Okolo will also be speaking. I am also going to speak. We are going to have a special section to lay hands on people that are sick.

What are the menus the participants will be served. Tell us the core areas of the feast?

When a pastor is teaching, he may be teaching on prosperity but the word of God is doing another work in your life.  For instance, when you here honour your parents, that word can give life to your dead business. It can give  life to your marriage, Basically, we are teaching the word of God, generally.

I will be teaching on the power of knowledge of the word of God. That alone can do a lot in every area of your life. Pastor Cosmas Okolo will be teaching on who truly is a Christian. So, that people will really know whether they are truly Christians or just going to church. Pastor Bankie will be teaching on how to receive from God.

This teaching may not be centered on a particular area like breakthrough or healing, but the word of God when it’s preached can touch you at the point of your need. So, you just come, learn and the word of God will do its work in your life.

How much do I have to pay to participate in the programme?

All our programmes are free. We had Good of the Land last October and it was free.  We believe 100% that the word of God should not be sold.  It’s free!

I was still talking with Pastor Cosmas Okolo and he said, he will be giving out free books. He just wrote a book, How to Find Your Work, and it will give to every participant free.

I will talk to Pastor Bankie on how we can make his books free for the participant. Beyond Gifts and Talents and/or Don’t Quit the Army.

Our focus is spreading the word of God not making money. Our primary concern is how to spread the word of God. The truth is this: these materials cost money but because of the passion to kill ignorance these people have, they are willing to give out their materials free.

Ignorance is everywhere. Imagine that pastors tell their congregation to give money as a seed to get breakthrough. It’s not correct! God doesn’t need your money to give you anything. Jesus Christ paid so that you can get them.

Tell me the date, venue and time of Word Feast 2016

The programme is holding on Esther Sunday, 2th March, 2016 and it’s going to start at 2.30PM. It’s at Sunshine Guest House, behind Airtel Office, at Otigba Junction.

Editor’s Note: you can learn more from Pastor Udu   who teaches extensively every Sunday on Enugu’s Dream FM, every Sunday on the programme, Word Vs World from 8.00-9.30am. You can reach him on: 07086367611
